3. Plan approval: Once the customer approves the plan and ready to buy the policy online, a SMS and Email is sent to him regarding payment from LIC. The customer has to make the payment via credit card, Debit card, UPI or Net banking. Upon successful making the payment the customer recieve the receipt on his email.
4. Online data capturing process: Data is captured online with the information shared by the customer. To maintain transparency we prefer sharing computer screen with the client by taking him on google meet. So that the customer also can see the LIC policy buying process.
5. Making payment & E Signing: After capturing the data online, the same is recieved by the customer on his email. Once he find everything is in place, the customer has to make the payment and e sign the document. The payment can be make via credit card, debit card, UPI or Net banking. E signing is done with the help of Adhar. He has to enter his addhar and verify it with the help of OTP.
6. Policy issuing: The fifth step is to issue policy to the client. once the underwriter at LIC finds all the information shared by the customer satisfactory, policy number is issued to him. He recieves the first premium reciept and E policy bond on his email. Hardcopy of the bond is also recieved by him on his residential address.

Cons of buying LIC Policy Online?
OTP is must in buying the LIC policy online. So one must be careful while providing the OTP. OTP should be shared to the person processing policy online if it comes in sms form from LICINDIA or in the email form from email which has domain @licindia.com.
OTP: Buying online LIC policy is 100% paperless and based on Adhar. So 3-4 times OTP is required. Once at the time of EKYC, 2nd at the time of verifying the policyholder’s details. So the customer should share the OTP carefully. That’s why screen sharing should be insisted upon while taking policy. It ensures sufficient transparency.
Mobile number should be connected with Addhar: If your mobile number is not connected with Adhar, then you can not buy LIC policy onilne. Because for starting the process OTP is required and the policy documents are also e-signed by adhar OTP.
Payment debited but payment reciept not recieved: You need to wait for 24hrs. The payment reciept will be recieved by you on your email. If no payment reciept is recieved the the payment will be returned to your bank within 24hrs.
